to craft stories is to give life to characters and ask what it means to be human.
i’ve just started work on a collection of short stories that will take place in the 18th century, and explore the collision of nations through war, trade, and cultural exchange.
I finished the red fletch, the first in a trilogy about Alys Fletcher, who starts out as maid Marian’s lady’s maid and takes a chance to bring her brother home from the third crusade. her adventures take her into the heart of the legends of Robin Hood and Richard the Lionheart. i’m querying this novel while starting to draft book two in the trilogy.
the past holds the key to our future. by exploring characters set in centuries before this one, I aim to shine light on how we live today.
