Build an airtight novel that subverts power structures without lecturing your reader.
Meet Your Book Coach
Hey, I’m Margaret!
I specialize in the hidden architecture of complex systems — aligning a protagonist’s internal rebellion with the heavy, external friction of a fictional empire (whether that empire is big or small, close to home or far away on a distant throne).
Let’s work together now, before you waste time writing or revising scenes that don’t work.
I deal in story mechanics that ensure your narrative grabs your reader by the ribs and your story’s deep truth etches itself into their hearts.
Two masters degrees in creative writing
Author Accelerator Certified Book Coach
Author of four historical fiction novels
My goal is to give you absolute clarity, high-level strategy, and total creative confidence over your manuscript.
The power structures in our stories work best when they aren’t completely evil. Real, imperfect systems are far more terrifying—and subverting them as a protagonist creates much more layered, fascinating narrative choices.
If your world doesn’t show how power is held, used, and realistically resisted by your characters, your setting is just a stage prop, and your story? Forgettable.
Don’t write a forgettable story. Let me help you write an unforgettable one.
Imagine a Future Where…
You're working on a novel that has staying power, that will grab readers by the ribs and not let go
You're confident that your protagonist has the agency they need to subvert power structures
You understand how your ideal reader will encounter your story and protagonist, and how they'll remember your book after reading
You're working with clarity and not wasting time penning tens of thousands of words that will have to change later

Plan Your Rebellion (Foundational Blueprint)
You’ve got an idea that’s grabbed you by the ribs and refuses to let go. An idea for a narrative rebellion that you can’t wait to explore. But why waste time writing thousands of words you’ll just cut later when you can structure your external and internal arcs of your novel before you start drafting (or revising)?
We’ll start with the Mini Blueprint—a quick, eagle’s eye view of your story—to lock in your core premise. Then, we build through Jennie Nash’s Blueprint for a Book to construct an airtight narrative.
Includes:
• Deep-dive in-line feedback & editorial summaries at each phase
• Weekday async Q&A access for real-time narrative guidance
• You bring your rebel fire; I’ll provide the structural roadmap

As an HSP, introverted coach and writer, I’ve designed my offerings to be asynchronous. This way, you’re getting my best brain power instead of feedback/brainstorming/learning from someone who is losing energy because of being on a call.
Your responses to the form at the bottom of this page is how I determine if we’re a good fit.

Due to the nature of this work, I do not. But I am an empath and life can get prickly… so I am always open to a discussion and rescheduling work if needed. I can’t guarantee specific placement on my calendar for rescheduled work, but we can find a way forward together.

I don’t use it in creative work. I prefer to coach writers who do not use it in creative work. For me, the joy of crafting stories lives in the work itself, so shortcuts would cut short that joy. That said, I’m not here to judge how you work. I’m here to help you write an unforgettable, unputdownable narrative rebellion.
